Abstract

When launching projects, organizations often rely on traditional ways of staffing by essentially treating people like interchangeable Lego. However, by following a "resource" mindset we assume our people to be fungible and risk losing sight of the most critical element that fuels our organization’s success. In this session, we’ll explore the value of having the right people on your team and how to recognize the right talent. What we’ll cover: · How a “resource” mindset is counterproductive to value delivery · Why building teams around motivated individuals propels your organization · Ways to identify the right people for value creation

Sydney Johnson has a range of experience as a PO, SM, and Agile Coach. Her passion is collaborating with clients to create innovative solutions with a commitment to delivering value. Sydney's excitement around Agile practices has led her to explore the benefits and value to be gained from Scrum and Kanban.

A bit about Alex Schick

Alex Schick has 15yrs+ experience as a practitioner and people leader in the technology space. As an Agilist, he is focused on helping teams and organizations maximize their ability to deliver business value. Alex has served in a variety of roles, including SM, PO, BA, Developer and Agile Coach.
