AgileIndy has seen steady growth since its inception in 2011. With the growth of our monthly meetings that now average between 70-100 attendees on the northside (held on the second Wednesday of each month), our expansion last year to now also include monthly meetings in downtown Indianapolis (held on the third Tuesday of each month), as well as the growth of our annual conference that held over 700 attendees in 2017, the AgileIndy Board has made the decision to increase the number of board members from 5 board members to 7 board members this year.
In accordance with our bylaws, AgileIndy accepted nominations starting in July and had 12 candidates apply. Diana Williams was selected as the board-elected member in August. In September, AgileIndy allowed members to vote for the 7th and final board member. Ballots were cast in person at both the Northside and downtown meetings and we are pleased to announce that Darren Terrell received the nomination from his peers.
Darren is the Vice President of Enterprise Agile Coaching at Project Brilliant. As a senior transformation specialist, he has worked with Agile teams for many years and has a breadth of experience in delivery and Agile transformation in both the private and public sectors. Darren helps organizations and teams to achieve real agility. He serves as a board member for the Agile Cincinnati and is also a co-organizer for Agile Ft. Wayne. To learn more about Darren, please see her nomination form here.
Darren will also be a speaker at our AgileIndy Northside meeting on November 8th, so feel free to join us and meet him in person if you havent already!
